Ms. Tessa Baker: Research Scientist

Ms. Tessa Baker is a Research Scientist at NSI. Formerly she worked at The Mellman Group, a DC-based polling firm. She has experience conducting a wide variety of applied research using logistic regression models, qualitative scoring of primary source documentation, and research into political and social capital in post-conflict states following the implementation of transitional justice mechanisms like truth and reconciliation commissions. In addition, she has conducted public opinion research for corporate as well as advocacy interests. She is versed in SPSS and Stata and has experience developing models from large consumer data sets. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Economics and a Master’s degree in American Government from Georgetown University and is a member of the American Association for Public Opinion Research (AAPOR).
