AI Workflows

What is NSI’s approach to AI?

NSI’s approach to solving our client’s most pressing challenges is always rooted in finding the most effective, efficient, and comprehensive solution possible. For many organizations, “AI” has become an end in and of itself. NSI takes a different approach. The end goal is not using a tool. It’s finding a solution, which in many cases, can be enhanced through use of AI.

Artificial intelligence allows us to more rapidly and efficiently conduct research, streamline reporting, and expand the cost effectiveness of the breadth of our analyses, allowing our team of experts to work with our clients on applying greater depth to create timely, well researched solutions that carry the perfect balance between man and machine.

How can NSI’s approach to AI help you?

Where appropriate, NSI’s utilization of machine learning, generative AI, and agentic workflows can allow you to maximize the analytic power of your project investments, by freeing time spent on basic research, thereby allowing our team of experts to spend more time with you on leveraging the value of our findings and recommendations.

Deep expansive research

Apply tools such as our TRIAGE model to identify, scrape, and summarize key data and worldwide events to provide more rapid and comprehensive analysis.

Automated workflows

Create automated workflows which have been proven to lead to quantum improvements in cost efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness.

Cutting edge analysis

Create and apply algorithms identify and prioritize the core drivers of critical outcomes, as well as how they interact, to help ensure that actions drive outcomes.

Competitive analysis

Automate analyses of key competitors across critical dimensions, creating rapid, near real-time reports of information you need to compete.

Application Examples

AI Application Example

Office of Bomb Prevention (Part One)

NSI staff assisted the team conducting city-level evaluations by taking a time-intensive manual process of gathering, summarizing, and reporting data by automating the entire process. The automated workflow that was created allowed for the creation and automated delivery of a client-ready report at the push of a button, which previously took weeks to report. As a result, the project team was able to produce more city level assessments at a much lower overall cost.

AI Application Example

Office of Bomb Prevention (Part Two)

Building off of the work in Part One, additional automated workflows were developed to automatically create presentations of each city’s key findings, eliminating weeks’ worth of manual labor that was prone to lengthy timelines and inefficiencies.

Competitive Analyses

Working with a partner in the private sector, NSI staff automated competitive analyses for a pending software release, allowing the developer to customize their feature set, timing, and brand positioning for maximum market impact.

AI Application Example

TRIAGE

Triage (Topic Related Intelligent Auto-Generated Extraction) is a system built to automate AI enabled prediction and rapid analysis of worldwide events, leveraging sets of large, non-traditional, and complex data sources. TRIAGE allows a user to enter a set of issues, and based on customized taxonomies, leverage AI tools to identify relevant news stories, geo-code them, and create automated summaries of key learning.
